Tasting
Deep red, dark crimson ruby with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant and cherry-stone. It is not uncommon for it to evolve towards feline, wild notes over time. With maturity these develop into leather, chocolate, pepper notes. A wine that you should let age so that it opens to its full extent and displays its mouth-filled texture, its delicate yet firm structure, its fruity mouthfeel and its chewy tannins, which will be properly smoothed by then. Its massive, dense tannins make this masculine wine from Côte de Beaune the ideal wine to serve with wild meats. Game animals and birds, braised or roasted, will find a perfect pairing in this Pommard. Beef steaks, lamb will also enjoy the firm texture of its tannins and its concentrated aromas. It also goes well with strong-flavoured cheeses such as époisses, langres and soumaintrain.
