- Tasting
- Its crimson colour with dark purple accents is reminiscent of peony flowers or the depth of certain roses. The fruity nose evokes Morello cherries and raspberries, it evolves towards blackcurrant, liquorice to undergrowth, often with a hint of spice. A classic Burgundy wine, it is perfect for a balanced cuisine, neither too spicy nor too heavy. It pairs well with roast meats such as veal fillet, with a mild curry or, more traditionally, a petit salé. With its charming and spontaneous harmony it perfectly complements simple dishes such as pork tenderloin, veal or leg of lamb with baby vegetables or gratins. Its friendly tannins blend perfectly with Burgundian tarts and mild cheeses such as young Epoisses, Brillat-Savarin, Cîteaux, young Soumaintrain.
